The photographs capture nostalgic scenes such as the pre-war store of Akashiya, a traditional Japanese confectionery shop that has been in business since the Edo period, as well as Tenmonkan, Kamoike Zoo, and Shiroyama Amusement Park. Flipping through the albums evokes fond memories.
The publishing company producing the book aims to pass on memories of everyday life that are not recorded in official documents to future generations. They are aiming for publication around October.
