DISCOVER-US Transatlantic Tech Talks: Rute Sofia on the CODECO edge-cloud orchestration framework
In this webinar, CODECO coordinator Rute Sofia (fortiss) sets out how the EU-fundd CODECO project is contributing to the future edge-cloud continuum, enabling adaptive and elastic data processing, computation and networking for optimal efficiency and ease of use.
In the edge-to-cloud landscape, there are complex challenges including significant mobility, an array of different resources and very different applications. CODECO seeks to answer these challenges in smart, highly decentralized environments. With a management framework which includes not just networking and compute, but also the data workflow level, the project's technological advancements are being tested in use cases including public infrastructure monitoring, a digital twin for urban mobility, a decentralized platform for media delivery systems, decentralized energy grids, automated vehicles in factories, and smart buildings.
