As someone who hates working and responsibilities, I decided to fulfill my long time dream of living the retired life. This lifestyle is perfect for me because I am an extremely lazy person and being retired means you don't have to do anything anymore. The only things I do are arts and crafts, hang out with loved ones--my dog, Kraken--and sleep. Sleep is really important to me because it feels so nice to lay down and close your eyes and not have to use energy to sit up or stand or open your eyes or do anything else "productive".
Sometimes there will be haters who will try to stop you from achieving your dreams, and sometimes those haters will be your very own parents, but just remember that you get to do whatever you want and nah nah nah nah boo boo you're not listening. Seriously, what are they gonna do? Kick you out of the house? You have a house key. Take your car? You have those keys as well. Yell at you and demand money for bills and rent? Like I said, nah nah nah nah boo boo you're not listening! So just stay strong and remember that this is your life and you've made the decision to retire, and eventually everyone else will just have to accept that and provide the things you need to do that (house, food, money--whatever you need).
In all honesty, I am really seriously literally legitimately retired, but I just keep up the pretense that I'm only saying it as a really good inside joke with the family and that to keep up the joke I have to keep being selfish and demanding others take over my responsibilities because "Ope, doy, I'm retired! Herherherr." And for some reason this is working really well for me because my parents think it's a good joke and then when I say I'm not gonna do stuff we all laugh about it and say "Oh noooo, don't let Allison do it--she's retired!" Therefore, I would highly recommend you use this same tactic if you want to be retired like me without conflict from those you are dependent on to provide for you.
