His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe Chris Barton visited Hungary last week to further strengthen British-Hungarian trade (£8.3bn, up 20% last year) & investment (£3.5bn) relations.👇
🇬🇧🤝🇭🇺 The highlight of the 2-day visit was the British Investors Forum business lunch at the Ambassador’s Residence with guest of honour State Secretary Máté Lóga from the Ministry for National Economy, where HMTC Chris Barton Barton sat down with leaders of British companies operating here in Hungary.
📈⚡✈️ The visit also included an Energy Security meeting, a dinner with senior experts to talk about the macro-economic & geopolitical situation in Hungary, coffee meetings with the British Chamber of Commerce & Wizz Air, and a lively discussion with innovative investment companies Sensonic Design, COMPOCITY Hungary, LABORATORY IDEAS & The Noisefilter.
🕯️ Furthermore, HMTC Barton was delighted to tour Madame Tussauds Budapest, operated by British company Merlin Entertainments, which was opened last year and had over 150K visitors so far.
