This is number EIGHT of our Queen Tribute CD, this time by German singer Daniel Mladenov covering "I'm Going Slightly Mad"!
The German singer Daniel Mladenov recorded a cover of "I‘M GOING SLIGHTLY MAD" for the upcoming album "A Tribute to Queen". Daniel has been taking singing lessons and taking part in numerous workshops and further training courses with renowned and well-known vocal coaches, musical actors and experts in musical singing and song interpretation since 2008. Including Chris Murray, Carsten Lepper and Christopher Brose.
After four years of singing lessons, he took part in the final rounds of the largest German-speaking musical competition. Since 2008, Daniel has appeared at least once a month at events, concerts, drag shows and stage spectacles of all kinds and regularly takes on leading roles in various musical revues and musical/compilation shows. He takes over directing and overall management and writes his own plays. In 2010 he won the casting of the “Musical Fever” tour.
Since 2018 he has been part of the cast of “Ludwig2” where he plays the roles of Counts Dürckheim, Rettenberg and Holstein. He has also been taking on the leading role of King Ludwig since 2021. Since 2021 he has also been in the cast of the musical “Zeppelin” and plays the role of Gustav in “Beauty and the Beast”. In the premiere of the musical HUNDERTWASSER at the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein he takes on the role of René Brô.
"I'm Going Slightly Mad" is a song by the British rock band Queen. Written by Freddie Mercury but credited to Queen, with uncredited lyrical contributions by Peter Straker, it was released as the second single from the band's 1991 album Innuendo. The song was released as a single on 4 March 1991, a month after the release of the album. The lyrics and the accompanying music video project the song as humorous and lighthearted, despite the lyrics dealing with the mental decline Mercury was experiencing as one of the effects of advancing AIDS.
