A New Day, A New Flowchart | Tekken 8 Lars Gameplay
These were recorded September 24th, and were some of my first ranked games back in maybe a week or two. Like I mentioned, I’ve been playing quick match on this game mostly the last little bit and also just in lobbies with my friends, so I’m not like shaking off 2 weeks of pure rust here. I’m not sure why I never record any of those games for YouTube, but maybe I will starting soon.
Anyways yeah, I’ve been practicing my Lars a bit off camera, and I got wavedashing down pretty okay, I’ve been using it a bit in these games, maybe a bit too much since I got spring kicked a few times, but I can just cancel and block that next time if I think it’ll happen, I kinda just auto piloted the wavedash since it’s fun LOL. I also changed up my braindead flowchart a bit too, I started using throws, df2, SEN 3, and SEN 3+4 a lot more, but I’m still the same db4 spammer you all know and love. I only got launch punished on it like twice this whole session I think so until I get good reason to stop spamming it away we go on the db4 train woohoo! Maybe someday I’ll commit to fc mix with fc df2 and fc 1+2, but yeah, db4 all the way! I’ve gotten a lot better at teching throws again too, especially now that I know some of the more knowledge check ones like Asuka/Jun/Jin having a 2 break, Law having a 1 break, and so on. Shoutout KazeNoetic giving me some brief MU knowledge on some characters too. I didn’t really get to apply much of it here, but I did note it down and tried to use some of it to my best abilities, and at least trying to use the information is better than forgetting about it. I definitely think I played better in this set than my previous ones at least, even though I do flowchart db4 still too much, but someday I’ll start using my brain a bit more don’t worryyyyy. If these fools are getting wrecked by my db4 that’s their problem. I’m just tryna wreck a fool with a bone ashed cannon.
As mentioned at the end of the video, huge update coming out next week, main inclusions being Heihachi DLC, story DLC, some changes to ranked mode, and other QoL stuff like being able to play practice mode online, viewing replays right after a game, and lastly changing the character on the main menu (THANK GOD). This update seems like it’s gonna be amazing, and for me at least it’s because the update to ranked will make it so you lose less points against higher ranked people and I think they said you’re gonna gain more points as well for beating higher ranks or something(?). I don’t really remember anything besides the first point, which is a huge first point though. I could go watch it again but that would require 3 minutes of my time so no thanks. This change seems like it could provide a little rank inflation, but hey, at least this change makes sense from a logical standpoint. I doubt they’ll change the numbers that much anyway. My main problem with ranked is when I fight someone way better than me and I lose 1000 points and it feels really fucking bad, so if they even slightly change that I’ll be very happy. I enjoy losing to a degree, because learning and also getting better is fun. While losing CAN be fun, it’s not against slop garbage player like VICTOR AND ASUKA who have brain cancer (in game), so hopefully yes this will make ranked more tolerable and therefore more fun, meaning more and better content I guess. Not that rank even matters anyways, I just like the funny big number harhar
That about wraps up my yap session I think though, I’m not sure if I missed anything but whatever I’m tired and don’t wanna put more effort into this video since like I also mentioned there was a SCAM CORRUPTION that happened and I had to re record all my commentary and re-edit the whole thing and it was a train wreck but that’s just Tuesdays for you harharhar. I love my Glimmer Lars cosmetic too it’s so goated shoutout the actual goat that’s literally me in real life. I’ll gladly fork over my $5 to Harada so I can get this sick ass Lars cosmetic oh yea babey
