A documentary video about the classic debut LP from legendary British rock band The Who, being Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey John Entwistle and Keith Moon. Featuring a classy selection of tracks including several originals from songwriter Pete Townshend alongside covers of rhythm and blues numbers by James Brown and Bo Diddley. The track listing includes The Kids Are Alright, A Legal Matter and the anthemic title track My Generation, which became the group's highest-placing UK single (No.2). The album showcases the band at their mod peak, and at the zenith of their 'Maximum R & B' period. A young studio musician called Jimmy Page contributed to the recording sessions, and his guitar can be heard on 'Bald Headed Woman' [included on the Deluxe edition (2002), and the Digital edition (2014)]. The album reached no.5 in the UK album charts and is now regarded as one of the most influential albums of all time, a precursor to heavy rock in the early 1970s, and the punk and post-punk New Wave sound later that decade. I hope you enjoy the video!
