Introducing The Beatles and Meet The Beatles! LPs (Vee Jay / Capitol Records USA, 1964)
A documentary about the first two American LPs from British rock band The Beatles, entitled Introducing The Beatles and Meet The Beatles!, featuring John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Both were released in early 1964 and Beatlemania soon followed. The songs, including All My Loving, I Wanna be Your Man, I Want to Hold Your Hand and It Won’t Be Long, were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, being produced by George Martin. Most of these had featured on the Beatles’ first two British Parlophone LPs Please Please Me and With The Beatles. The US LP Introducing... was issued on the Vee-Jay label and Meet The Beatles! was the first of their American LPs to be released by Capitol Records. Both achieved gold record status.
