Bush plane to remote Alaska! Moose, ice fishing for large pike!
A pilot friend took me out to visit Dave and Sarah at their beautiful remote cabin. They live way up the upper Yentna River, almost to Denali Park in a sweet cabin Dave built for his bride Sarah. Dave returns every winter to Sarah, his cabin and their dog Birdie in the “off season”. He’s not just the valley’s best fishing guide, but a true mountain man when he’s done leading clients to giant trout. We had a great visit with them and dropped off some much needed supplies. And much too soon we again took to the skies. On our way back to civilization we stopped and did some ice fishing for huge northern pike. Another fantastic day in Alaska!
