🔵 THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MANOMETERS?
A pressure gauge is a measuring instrument used to measure the pressure of a fluid, whether liquid or gas. There are different types of pressure gauges, each with its own characteristics and advantages. Here are some of the most common types:
Bourdon tube pressure gauge: The Bourdon tube pressure gauge is the most common type. It works by using a C-shaped tube, which deforms according to the pressure. The deformation of the tube is then converted into a pressure reading.
Capsule pressure gauge: A capsule pressure gauge works by using two thin metal capsules, one sealed and the other open to the air. The pressure exerted on the capsules causes them to deform, which is then converted into a pressure reading.
Piston pressure gauge: Piston pressure gauges are used to measure high pressures. They work by using a piston to compress a fluid, which is then measured to determine the pressure.
Diaphragm Pressure Gauge: Diaphragm pressure gauges are similar to capsule pressure gauges, but use a single thin diaphragm to measure pressure. The diaphragm deforms according to the pressure, which is then converted into a pressure reading.
Strain Gauge Pressure Gauge: Strain gauge pressure gauges are used to measure very low pressures. They work by using a strain gauge, which measures changes in electrical resistance as a function of pressure.
These different types of pressure gauges each have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice will depend on the specific requirements of each application. It is therefore important to understand the characteristics and operation of each type of pressure gauge to choose the one that best suits your needs.
