Summertime in Salem, Oregon
Shot in the summer of 2024
Somewhere out west, there is a valley
Tucked away in a Pacific wonderland
a stretch of God's green earth
Nestled between two mountain ranges
That are perhaps as old as time itself
Where fertile dirt meets the basking sun
To turn grapes into wine
Wheat into bread
Hops into beer
Some of the best of their kind
The days may get hot
But the nights will stay cold
Spring will stay green
So long as the summer fields stay gold
Long live the trailblazers
who dreamt of what the unknown might hold
And Lewis and Clark may have been onto something
Because fortune favors the bold
And if you can endure the hardship to reap the pleasure
8 months of clouds and rain to be awaited by a beautiful treasure
But hey
You can't enjoy the marionberries with a few thorns, however.
