This is an interesting question: if we took every ant in the world and weighed them, would they weigh as much as a human? This claim was made by a Harvard University professor in their book Journey to the Ants. They based this estimate on what an entomologist put forward when calculating the number of insects on earth. Currently, they believe that number to be one million trillion, and that’s a bit on the conservative level, and while it does count the workers, it may possibly weigh as much as all of the humans there.
