Rare Giant Squid Caught on Camera
This giant squid was caught on camera at a crushing depth of 2500 feet. Giant squids are rare and elusive. They are notoriously hard to find and film, but researchers have finally been able to lure one out using a jellyfish-like decoy. In this rare footage, the squid is estimated to be around 12 metres long. It attempts to hunt the decoy jellyfish, then slowly backs away in disappointment. This is the first time it has been caught doing so on camera.
