The reality of being a new IMG doctor in the NHS nobody tells you about
As a new Immigrant doctor working in the NHS, i had a lot of workplace experience that were shocking to me and these went on to become some of the major lessons I have learned as a doc tor working in a different healthcare system.
I really struggled in my early days because of some of these workplace cultures which I did not quickly understand and learn.
These experiences have persisted over the few years I have worked in the UK healthcare system but they are no longer shocking and I have also grown and I am learning how to respond better.
