The Real Venice - Rowing through Cannaregio
Venice is beautiful but can be crowded, especially if you spend your time near the most popular tourist sites. However, after just a few extra minutes of walking you can see the real Venice. Located in the northern edge of the Cannaregio neighborhood is Venice On Board, a workshop dedicated to preserving historic wooden boats. They also offer instruction in stand up rowing through the hidden canals of Venice. This is an "off the beaten path" experience and one of the best things to do in Venice.
