Integrated Ascent Abort Test (LV0024)
ASE is targeting May 21st for Crew Scorpius’s In-Flight Abort Test aboard AurigaMax launch vehicle LV0024. The vehicle will climb upwards as if a normal flight. as Maxiumum Aerodynamic Pressure (MAX - Q) hits, the booster will undergo a commanded MECO and the launch abort of CS will be initiated. The spacecraft will flip, re-enter the atmosphere, and land in the ocean under its parachutes. The booster supporting this flight will be B5R and will be terminated via the FTS right as CS escapes.
