Psychologist Bluma Zeigarnik, gave the Zeigarnik effect, it occurs when an activity that has been interrupted and it will be more readily recalled than finished tasks. The idea is that people remember unfinished or interrupted tasks better than completed tasks. So, next time you think to procrastinate, just start a part of a work and then even if you stop the Zeigarnik effect will take over and you will get motivated to complete the unfinished task.
