Trippy Op-Art Pattern 3 | Hypnotizing Animation [1 Hour, 4K]
Stare in to the center of the pattern, and feel your eyes gradually feel a little strange. This one was heavily inspired by the amazing works of Bridget Riley - but in motion graphics form and created in TouchDesigner. I've always been an enormous fan of Op-Art, and how two colors, and repetitive sharp and crisp lines can make you feel.
This one was messing around between 2D and 3D forms - with the rendered output of a 3D cube displacing a 2D plane with some black and white stripes on it. I kind of enjoyed how ambiguous the sense of depth was, as the contour lines of the shape rotate and come closer and further from the viewer.
