This video showcases the correct way to prep sweaters using a commercial steamer before being styled using the laydown or pin-up techniques, or being shot on-figure for e-commerce imagery.
Sweater prepping can be tricky, because when the product is first received from the manufacturer, it usually comes folded, causing harsh creases in the body and the sleeves.
When sweaters are placed on hangers for an extended amount of time, the shoulders and sleeves tend to "droop" and become elongated, changing the original shape.
This elongates the sweater and changes the shape. To prevent an elongated shape, remember to hang them as shown in the video.
P.S. this is also useful for sweaters of your own!
