As a Still Life Stylist, you should always arrive at a job prepared to style anything. This quick video shares the top 5 things you need in your styling kit as a Still Life Stylist.
Heading out for a workday for me looks like I'm leaving the house on the way to the airport! That's because I bring a huge suitcase with me, yes my kit has become a suitkit 😂
Now, not every job requires you to bring that much stuff, you can also do great work with just a few things in your still life styling kit.
There are a couple of scenarios where you don't need to take your styling kit with you to work everyday, here are some free tips!
HELPFUL SCENARIOS BELOW 👇🏽
First scenario:
You book a job that lasts more than one day, let's say that job is five days long or more. That means you only have to bring your styling kit with you on the first day.
Once the set has wrapped for the day, then you leave your styling kit at the studio.
Everyday following the first day, your kit is already there and ready to go.
Second scenario:
You get lucky and the studio where you are working has a plethora of still life styling tools!
I do have to admit, 👆🏽 the second one is very rare 🤷🏽♀️
But in the case that does happen, you would only have to bring your still life styling kit on day one of the job.
You can use the still life styling tools that the studio supplies!
Of course, if you have your favorite things that you prefer to work with, then leave those at the studio, or bring with you daily.
