Bobbles
There’s an infinite number of ways to make a bobble, most of which involve a multiple increase of some sort, knitting back and forth over the increased stitches for a couple of rows and a multiple decrease to eliminate the extra stitches.
Shown here is a rather large bobble: 4 stitches and 4 rows.
Instead of turning and purling, I have chosen to knit backwards.
Instructions:
Kfbfb, turn, sl1p, p3, turn, sl1p, k3, turn, sl1p, p3, turn, sl2tog, sl1p, pass slipped st back to left needle with the left leg in front, k2tog tbl, pass slipped stitches over.
