G'day. In this video I run through surface aeration 101 which involves using an aerator (or aerators) on the water surface to agitate the surface causing gas exchange, i.e., entry of good gases like oxygen and removal of bad gases like hydrogen sulphides. I run through how a surface aerator works to improve your water (reduce weeds, algae, odour, sludge etc) by adding oxygen, what the benefits of are in comparison to sub-surface aerators, and also the drawbacks of surface aerators.
