Join Helena Taylor (née Bowen) as she shares her favourite piece of pottery for the ‘Pottery & People’ online exhibition. Helena, Great Grandchild of Bernard Leach and Daughter of Clive & Alison Bowen, has chosen a wonderfully characterful horse sculpture by Shiro Tsujimura. She loves how something so simple could capture the elegant likeness of a horse.
‘Pottery & People’ is a collaborative online exhibition running throughout 2020 as part of the Leach Pottery’s centenary celebrations. It is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the ceramic objects in our homes, and the Leach Pottery encourages everyone to get involved. From your everyday mug, to a family heirloom, the Leach invites you to share the story of your favourite piece of pottery or ceramics.
