Pottery & People: Jesse Leach
Join Jesse Leach as he shares his favourite piece of pottery for the ‘Pottery & People’ online exhibition. Jesse, Bernard Leach’s Great Grandchild, has chosen this charming jug made by his father, Philip Leach, in 1994 which Jesse then decorated. This piece of pottery marks a significant time in Jesse’s life, as it was decorated around the time he completed his radiotherapy treatment.
‘Pottery & People’ is a collaborative online exhibition running throughout 2020 as part of the Leach Pottery’s centenary celebrations. It is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the ceramic objects in our homes, and the Leach Pottery encourages everyone to get involved. From your everyday mug, to a family heirloom, the Leach invites you to share the story of your favourite piece of pottery or ceramics.
