This is Hotel NO in Melbourne! Located on Flinders Lane in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. Known for being... not a hotel. This accommodation is 6 vintage trailers imported from America and perched on top of a random rooftop of a car park.
💸 Price:
$424 for 1 night (weekend rate, discounted EOFY price)
⭐ Highlights:
Unique experience! Staying here is a little adventure - from the digital check-in, finding the place, the rolling door that doesn't roll, the pink walls and the airstream itself.
Fun + witty service. The email marketing prior to check-in is very witty yet informative. Explains everything you need to know to check-in.
Supporting a small business. Very innovative way to expand the hotel market/provide a different experience.
Urban and new mexico vibe - with spray paint and cacti everywhere.
Generous complimentary drinks bar!
Centrally located on a quiet street in the middle of the city, but still walking distance to everything.
Free parking on the second floor for convenience.
💡 Things to consider:
Not a luxurious experience for the price. Don't expect to have a 5-star experience - remember, it's a repurposed trailer at the end of the day! This is more of a 3-star stay but just a bit on the pricier end. You're paying for the unique experience, not for opulence.
Obvious wear and tear. There are many marks on the walls, the bathroom had a bit of mould, floor had dark spots, etc. Could definitely use some cleaning and maintenance to upkeep.
Key is your phone. So if you forget to bring it out of the trailer with you, or if your phone battery dies... no entry eek. Just something I had to be continuously mindful of as a solo traveller.
No concierge, so no where to keep your luggage if you arrive earlier.
