DePaul Jazz Workshop performs "Zone" by Walt Weiskopf
Enjoy a remote concert from the DePaul Jazz Workshop as they perform "Zone" by Walt Weiskopf. The ensemble worked on and performed this composition remotely during Spring Quarter 2020.
Walt Weiskopf’s composition “Zone” is a contrafact on the Kurt Weill/Ira Gershwin composition “This is New”, from the Broadway musical "Lady in the Dark." It seems a fitting piece for the ensemble to work on and perform remotely this quarter, as we have never experienced and realized this type of remote collaborative process as an ensemble.
