How to Fix Zoom Background Problems

If your Zoom virtual background is not working, troubleshoot by first updating the Zoom software to the most recent version. If that doesn't work, your best idea is to purchase an inexpensive green screen and set up Zoom to use the greenscreen by checking a checkbox.
Common problems with Zoom digital backgrounds:
1) two people on screen
2) animals on screen
3) holding something up for the camera
4) wearing earrings or headphones
5) moving quickly
All these can result in bad images where more than just the background is removed from the image. But adding a green screen helps Zoom know the difference between the foreground and the background.

I checked on other streaming applications like Skype and Teams, which both support virtual backgrounds, but cannot use physical green screens to improve the image.
