How to cook asparagus
Green asparagus is one of the most delicious things you can put on your plate, and here you can see the perfect cooking time for the beautiful asparagus.
Here's how you do it
Break the root of your asparagus.
Bring a pan of lightly salted water to the boil, and carefully place the green asparagus into the water.
Let them cook for 20-30 seconds and take them out again. If you cook them longer, they lose both flavor and the fresh crunch.
Place them in a bowl of ice-cold water, preferably with some ice cubes in the water.
The water stops the cooking, and you therefore prevent your asparagus from boiling further and also helps the crispness. You can leave your asparagus in the cold water until you need to use them in cooking.
