In today's video, we are going to talk about optimisations you can do on the operational side of your store to squeeze as many sales as possible from your total website visitors.

There are some really simple changes you can do right now that can increase the conversion rate of your store. For example, let's say for each ten thousand visitors per month you have, you get 100 sales. That's a 1% conversion rate.

Now, if we make some little yet effective changes to your store, and that conversion rate spike up to 2%, you will make 200 sales for each ten thousand visitors.

So just like that, you doubled your monthly revenue without any additional work.

Our goal here is to make the client's path from entering the website to purchase complete as smooth, easy and reliable as possible.

Here are the main points I believe you should optimize:

→ Add more images to your product pages

No one buys anything without knowing the product very well. Add as many images as you can and if you have add video as well.

→ Uncover objections your customers might have

People are usually skeptical about buying from new brands, they have a lot of questions in their minds that most of the time keep them from completing the purchase.

Try to anticipate what are those questions and “answer" them throughout your product pages.

→ Talk about the main benefits of your products, not features

People usually don’t care about features like “made out of xyz” or “printed in…”.

They care about what their experience will be like once they get your product. How will they feel when using it. Basically what’s in for THEM.

→ Set up a welcome email sequence

This is an automated email that is sent to everyone who buys something or subscribes to your newsletter. All you got to do is say welcome in a warm and personal way and tell them a bit more about the brand (its story, values, etc.)

A lot of ecommerce owners say that it is the one that sells the most. That happens because people buy from people, not brands. So this email serves as a personal way of introducing yourself and the brand to potential customers.

→ Set up an abandoned cart email sequence

Please, do not overlook this one. It's very very powerful and it can easily give you an extra 10% of sales. All you got to do is set up a sequence that includes 3 emails, one sent 20 minutes after someone adds something to the cart but do not purchase, the other is sent 24h later and the last one is sent 48h later.

All you got to do here is offer assistance, say things like "can I help with your purchase?" and then show them the products they added to the cart and ask them to come back. Try to make this one very personal as well.

These are the main points I believe you should focus on to have a high-converting store.

After these changes, I'll be able to invest the same amount in advertising, for example, and make back 1,5x, 2x what you used to do before, without never having to do any additional work.
