machine quilt a flower with the Statler Stitcher
Okay, one more with the Statler Stitcher, because I just love how this quilt turned out!
This quilt includes a large amount of negative space - but also some applique text. I immediately knew I needed to create a faux trapunto wreath around the text. I started by marking & planning, next I loaded the quilt onto my @gammillquilting machine and used my Statler Stitcher to quilt out a whole bunch of beautiful flowers. I love using a combination of free-motion quilting and hand-guided quilting.
