Anti-Lock Braking System ABS EXPLAINED
As soon as the brakes were applied on the motorcycle in two different scenarios, it skidded out of control in one while remaining steady in the other. In a panic situation, when standard brakes are slammed, the wheels lock up, which can cause the vehicle to skid and lose steerability, especially on slippery surfaces. But with ABS, the system sends pulsating brake pressure to the calipers, preventing the wheels from locking up and allowing the rider to steer while braking. This controlled braking without skidding is how ABS has saved millions of lives.
