I wrote this song in 2004, and it's been recorded by various singers over the years, but - finally - this is my own vocal recording.
It is a pop song with a love theme, written in the style of the songs of my childhood favourites, The New Seekers. It was a candidate song in a number of country's Eurovision selections over the years, (cruelly overlooked) and the dance version of 'Let Me See The Impossible' came 5th out of 38 songs in the 2011 Home Composed Song Contest.
Acoustic guitars and bass are played by Alex Bonanno
The string section was arranged and recorded by Rick Curran.
Let Me See The Impossible
(words and music: Andy Brook)
If I wanted to, if I wanted to stay
What would be your answer
If I asked you today?
And if you thought I should
If you thought I should go
Would you still say yes, even if you meant no?
For I have changed my point of view
And if I've changed my life: why can't you...
Let me see the impossible
When I look in your eyes
Prove to me I'm not falling
Falling for sweet lies
And if I wanted to, if I wanted to know
Did you ever love me?
Please tell me so
Now I have changed my life for you
And all I'm asking is for you to change too
Let me see the impossible
When I look in your eyes
Prove to me I'm not falling
Falling for sweet lies
Tell me why should it be this way
When we were so much in love
Let me see the impossible with you
So how can I be sure of you?
When I want to love you
But I’m too frightened to
Let me see the impossible
When I look in your eyes
Prove to me I'm not falling
Falling for sweet lies
Tell me why should it be this way
When we were so much in love
Let me see the impossible with you
My love
