In 2013, I worked alongside the amazing crew at The Roast, and was the Graphics guy for the show. Creating fresh new graphics, and animating and compositing countless effects shots, I helped magnify the visual effects, and deliver the aesthetics to a high standard of great quality, within the tight deadlines allocated. The show was put together on a daily basis, and delivered to the ABC by the end of the day.
Working for The Roast was fundamentally a great, fun and new experience, that challenged me on a daily bases. I gained confidence in expressing my creativeness through the show's graphics and managing my time productively. Tight deadlines made me a speedy worker yet I always aimed to produce high quality and well presented work at the end of the day. I learnt to think ahead of time and contemplate workflow solutions and methods to create specific elements for the show's daily graphics, whether it was a 3D Dinosaur walking into shot and eating a news reporter, to a shiny metallic or explosive headline animation that introduced a made up segment. Everything was unique, which allowed me to infuse my own personal touches.
I dedicate this reel to The Roast team! They are an amazing bunch! :)
