Car Crash During Intersection Takeover At NW 17th Avenue And 95th Street Miami-Dade County, FL, USA
During the overnight hours, multiple young people hit the streets of Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami to indulge in the dangerouse art of drifting during intersection takeovers. Some made the experience more exciting by pouring gasoline on the ground in a large circle, setting it on fire, and then jumping into the middle of the ring of fire while cars drift around them at high speeds. Most of the bystanders can be seen recording video on their phones, likely for their social media platforms as they get close enough to feel the wind against their bodies from the speeding cars only inches from them.
At one point a red Dodge Challenger can be seen crashing into the front of another vehicle at 4:02 as it was drifting or as some say, doing donuts.
These so-called "slide shows" were occurring in multiple locations, sometimes simultaneously throughout Miami-Dade County, at one point blocking Miami-Dade Fire Rescue from leaving their quarters to go to calls from their fire station located at NW 119th Street and 32nd Avenue.
Fortunately, nobody was injured or decapitated, which has happened before, at these slide shows.
Miami-Dade police is investigating. This occurred on 12-31 early morning.
