Hello, my name is Isaac Nazario, and I am a CADD technician based out of Lakeland Branch in Florida. I would briefly like to explain what Revit is. It really is a big software widely used by architects, designers, and contractors to create a model that other disciplines can use to complete their work. Many may be familiar with AutoCADD and 2D plans, such as the one in the next picture. The benefit of using it is that we can take those 2D plans and create a 3D model out of them. This helps to better understand plans and to visualize designs in real life. Another big benefit is that room plans can be sent back to AutoCADD for further modifications. While this software is mostly used by architects and designers, we have been able to incorporate it into our needs in the civil water industry, such as water treatment plants, simple site work and more. The final product from our 3D models are stunning renderings that can be used for proposals, marketing and other plans. If taken a step further, Revit can also be linked with another software called Lumia, and even more realistic rendering can be generated in seconds.
