Hi, my name is Andrew Dahlman. I'm a project manager here at Dewberry in Richmond, Virginia. I'm part of our energy group. Today, I'm going to talk to you about fixed-tilt solar panel systems. Fixed-tilt systems utilize solar panels that are fixed to braces and anchored to the ground. There are a couple of different ways to anchor them. You could use driven piles, you could use poured foundations, or you could use a ballasting technique. If for some reason you don't need to puncture the ground, i.e., you're putting it on top of a landfill. These are typically face south in orientation, and there's a couple of different pros and cons to discuss. The pro is they are easier to install, relative to some of their other counterparts and other options out there. They have less construction tolerances, easier to design, and less operations and maintenance costs throughout the life cycle of the project relative to some of the other options out there. Some of the cons that are associated with the fixed-tilt system, they are less efficient than some of the tracking systems or other options out there.
