Wartales - Making money (a.k.a how to hustle) - gameplay/guide/tutorial.
Wartales is a brutal world and the first thing you need to do, is make some krowns, as the saying goes - first you get the krowns, then you get the power, then you get the... satisfaction of progressing through a bloody beauty of a game much more easily!
Tips in order in case you prefer reading:
#1 - Choose a good starting party. Options 2/5 start with bonus krowns. Option 4 with fewer krowns.
#2 - Selling loot!
#3 - Don't repair (unless necessary)
#4 - Assign a thief and steal (when suspicion is low)
#5 - Sell some medicine (1-3 vials)
#6 - Buy/sell trade goods (5 krowns profit per item to merchants outside)
#7 - Accept Easy Quests (leave rats for later)
#8 - Buy 2-3 chains to capture and sell prisoners (outlaws only, no guards/merchants).
#9 - Try to have fewer wounded companions - by having 1-2 companions take more dmg in a fight (reduces medicine usage - but is higher risk)
#10 - only heal wounds that are 'bad'
#11 - You can use 'rest' to delay wages if you so desire.
#12 - Stick with a party of 4-5 until you are comfortable earning money.
#13 - Repeat, enjoy, share your war tales!
There are other ways to make money later in the game including:
Selling a lot to a merchant, killing the merchant, taking their goods (including the ones you sold them), then reselling everything a second time to the black market.
Completing trading missions between regions (much more profitable than selling to people right next to town)
However, these later options take a while to be available so I figured we should focus on the basics first.
