Wartales is an RPG that usually involves a chunk of party management, but what happens if you reduce the party to just 1! This video follows the run of a swordsman who tries to make his way through the world after splitting with his companions a little way into the game. After an initial bit of resource gathering and crafting - he is ready to take on the world of challenges Wartales offers up.
Using a single character totally changed the 'value' of some things in the game, like the skills 'first aid' or being a Captain.... both provided exactly 0 value anymore as they only affect others! Titles became a thing to focus on, as otherwise there was no way we were going to outscale some enemies. However through the video you will see Urras attempt:
Bandit Hideouts / Bandit 'skull' squads. (One of the hideouts in particular... ouch!!)
The Bandit Lair (mmm those extra skills like 'sprint' are useful!)
Rats Nests + Infected Outgrowth Samples (gotta get me some alchemy going)
The Ghost Pack x 3-4 (white leather, required for those shiny weapons!)
The Colonel Alexa Grathan (if only swordsman could use axes...)
The Champion Mattias Lund (...or hammers)
As I am typing this up I totally regret not calling this guy Geralt... a lone swordsman... wandering the world... Urras, you would have made a great Witcher!
Note: Apologies but the sound seems to have de-synced somewhere and I don't have the time to re-do. I am annoyed at it because I have no idea how it happened either. Hopefully it still works well enough and that you enjoy!
