A common question people have when learning about accessibility and assistive technology is, "How does a device like a screen reader handle different languages?"
I can only speak for Apple's VoiceOver program, but my iPhone smoothly switched between different languages when I used English, Ukranian, Greek, Armenian, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Arabic, and Korean in a single tweet.
While I cannot vouch for the accuracy of these translations (I used Google Translate), I wanted to at least demonstrate that my iPhone can detect and speak different languages when it comes across them in content. I have more than 40 languages on my device that can be set as the default language. So really, it probably depends on the device someone is using and their personal settings.
