F-Droid - App not installed as package appears to be invalid
The F-Droid website hosts an outdated version of the APK which causes issues for users who try to install it in multiple user profiles. The error is "App not installed as package appears to be invalid". Unfortunately, the error isn't descriptive, so users need to spend time searching to find the answer. When a user attempts to install an older version of an app that's already install, the installation is blocked by Android downgrade protection. Your first option is to download the most recent version of F-Droid from the actual app page on f-droid.org. The second option is for the F-Droid team to host the latest version on the home page, which is where most people download it from. As of the time of this record, this issue persists.
