Automatic coil winder for theremins, etc.
This is an automatic coil winder that can wind large coils for theremins, Tesla coils, etc. It can handle coil forms up to about 2" diameter and 400 mm long. The controller is an esp32-Pico. There is still a lot of work to be done--adding a reasonable user interface, for example. In this test, it is winding a short coil from 36 AWG wire at 2 inches per second. No wire breakages so far.
