TECHNOLOGY for INDEPENDENCE with Chris Cooley - SAFEINHOME Remote Services
Christopher Cooley is an Ohio Tech Ambassador who interviewed two representatives from SafeInHome Remote Services. SafeinHome empowers people to live independently in their homes and communities using remote support staff and assistive technologies. They make daily living safer while respecting the dignity of choice.
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the right to live the life they want, with self-determination, choice, and community access like anyone else. HCBS, which funds disability waivers in each state, supports these rights. The HCBS settings rule requires that support services for people with disabilities must include a process driven and directed by the individual to identify needed services and supports.
SafeinHome provides the services that make self-directed independent living possible while making daily living safer and respecting the dignity of choice.
