Ryanair Boeing 737 Max 8-200 left Manchester Airport early on Saturday 10 August 2024. During takeoff roll the aircraft past several birds before being struck on the front of the plane, however the aircraft continued to climb without further incident and landed safely in Murcia a few hours later.
TUI Boeing 787 Dreamliner and TEN other planes were held up while the bird’s body was recovered by airport ground crews. After a delay of around 10 minutes, departures resumed without further incident.
