Ol Pejeta, the Drought has broken
In some parts of east Africa they have not seen rain for four years, in the Laikipia area it has been intermittent, but the last six months have been extremely bad, so it is such good news to hear they are now getting rain and in some cases big storms.
I can't say it was the weather I would wish for, but their need is greater than mine. If the weather patterns hold it will usually rain in the afternoon so I will hopefully have pleasant mornings game & bird watching.
The waterhole at Sweetwaters has a camera which takes a picture every minute, and earlier there was a herd of zebra there, which is an improvement on the last few weeks where I only saw the odd buffalo. If you want to take a look here's the link.
