Verreaux' eagle owls
For as long as I can remember there have been a pair of Verreaux' eagle owls in the woods at the back of the camp at Sweetwaters, and have often seen them with a young. I am not sure if these are the same birds, though they do live for about twenty years so it is possible, but once again they had bred so they are doing a wonderful job of keeping the species going.
