The theme this year was queer icons - I really wanted to do something by Mika, and this was the only one I could reasonably learn on ukulele, an instrument I have never played before, within two weeks. If I had an acre more time, I would have loved to sing "Good Guys" or even "Boum Boum Boum" - both songs from the same album as this one, No Place In Heaven. All three of these songs say different things about the queer experience, and I love them so much.
And since you've read this far in the description, have a behind the scenes fact: Ediecat left about half an hour before I got a take I found acceptable. The other half of the screen was too boring without her so I split the screen. Although tbh given how quickly I edited this, you might have already guessed that...
