In this tutorial I show a rendering breakdown of how to make a 3ds Max underwater scene of an abstract sea turtle made of plastic pollution using TyFlow and Vray 5. I start by creating the initial setup of the 3D model and get the camera angle, Vray lighting, and materials in a spot I'm happy with, and then move into TyFlow to create the VFX & Particle simulation. The rendering setup with Vray light was pretty simple as well. In this tutorial I used Vray 5 volume fog to create atmosphere and then rendered everything out in layers as an EXR sequence, and then composited everything in After Effects. There are 3 main TyFlow setups, simply duplicate and switch out the shape layer to a new 3d model if you want to add variety.
