In this video, we review the rest of the talk about the different methods of performing the Dialysis Modalities process, and the extent to which the types of toxins and their sizes relate to the used dialysis method. The third method is HDF Hemodiafiltration, we explain its method of work, in which the advantages of conventional HD dialysis are combined as well as HF style dialysis, In the elimination of toxins of small and medium sizes from 500 Daltons to 12000 Daltons, such as B2-microglobulin, peptide and other inflammatory toxins.
Then we discuss the types of HDF, how each type works, its advantages and disadvantages, and then we make a comparison between the two most popular types, Post-dilution and Pre-dilution.
We also talk about the online HDF, in which the Dialysate washing solution is used instead of the substitution fluid, which previously came in separate packages, then we discuss the details of the benefits and features of the HDF method.
