This is the last unseen YouTube video that Robert Himler and I shot together before he passed away due to cancer on April 22, 2015. I decided to make it into a tribute video.
For those who don't know, Robert and I actually go way back. I met him when I first moved to Orlando, FL many years ago. We had a mutual friend, Hovik, who introduced us two because of how much we had in common.
It wasn't long before we became the closest friends. We supported each other and taught each other new things. We even ran a business together. However, about a year later, he met his new girlfriend, and we spent less time together. We also both traveled around often, and didn't get many chances to be in the same city at the same time. By the end of 2012, we had pretty much been too busy with our own lives and lost touch.
Fast forward to present time. Out of the blue, he called me and asked if I wanted to catch up. We met up and I treated him to lunch. This was when I noticed that he was really skinny and fragile looking. I asked him what was wrong, and he talked about all the stress that he's been enduring in the past two years. I became really worried for the guy, and he noticed. So he changed the subject and we ended up talking about happier things.
After lunch, we checked out each others' cars, which neither of us had seen in person yet. He had a white McLaren MP4-12C and I had a Lamborghini Aventador. We both had a little bit more time to kill, so we decided to do a cruise through I-4 like old times and shot video footage of each other driving.
What you are watching is the footage from that day.
What I didn't know at the time was that this would end up being my last ride with him.
Rest in peace, brother.
