Tesla Model S P85D Delivery Walkthrough and Review

Here's a complete rundown of most of the features on the new 691-HP dual-motor AWD Tesla Model S P85D. This is footage from when I took delivery of my P85D in December 2014 (the first in Orlando). This almost fully optioned model runs about $130,000 USD (before sales tax), but there is a $7,500 federal tax credit. Where I live, the sales tax and federal tax credit basically cancel each other out.
The car's software has since been updated to version 6.1 (the version in the video is 6.0), and the newer features/updates are mentioned in the text annotations I've added. This is part of the reason why I waited a month before uploading this video. I wanted to give an update on things like autopilot and real world range.
Some features not mentioned in the video are:
1) You can start the car from your smartphone if you lost your key. This came in handy when I couldn't find my car keys and was in a hurry.
2) You can still open and start the car even if your key fob is out of batteries by placing it on the passenger-side front windshield to unlock the doors, and then placing it in the cup holder to start the car.
3) You can control the climate remotely from your smartphone, so that the car is at the temperature that you want it to be in before you get in. You can also enable the car to learn your schedule and precondition your car at certain times without your manual input.
4) You can watch the car's real-time speedometer and location remotely on your smart phone.
5) Superchargers do indeed charge around 355 miles per hour (275 V, and 300 A) when the battery is almost empty. That means that almost 50% of the battery (178 miles) can be charged in about 22 minutes. It charges slower the more full your battery is. Near the end of the charge, it was charging at around 150-200 mph (400 V and 12 A). To charge from around 0% to 100% took me about an hour and 15 minutes. In general, you probably would only charge for 40 minutes and get a 80% charge (or about 205 miles of range), which is more than enough to get you to the next supercharger station.
6) Lights turn on to illuminate the area where you're turning into.
7) There are about 6 parking sensor indicator and there are guide lines in the rear view camera's video display to tell you where your car is heading depending on your steering wheel's angle.
8) The car does warn you about a potential collision. This warns you when a car cuts your off suddenly or if you're not paying attention and you're about to rear end the car in front. The warning is a few seconds before the potential collision. With cruise control on, the car will brake for you in this scenario.
